Power rings play an important part in Sonic's role as the hero of Mobius. Somewhere in the Great Forest is a lake that produces power rings. They are generated by a machine made by Sir Charles Hedgehog with a Power Rock that runs it. Every twelve hours, a power ring rises up from the lake, then falls back in. The rings, like his sneakers, were made for Sonic. They give him a temporary extra burst of speed. After that, they are useless.
Trivia[]
The power rings are based on the ones from the Sonic games that do nothing but keep Sonic from getting killed. However, by continuing to collect them, Sonic can stay in his super form as long as he has chaos emeralds.
